This is a huge win for wildlife and people who care about the dunes. The court wisely told the Bureau of Land Management to wake up, follow the law and treat the dunes with some respect.

It's never an easy call to kill a sheep like that, ... but in this current situation, that's been one of the needs, to get fresh samples.

It's very highly endangered, in the Coachella Valley especially. The next step, hopefully, is that the government will stop delaying and do the right thing for the lizard.
